The Séguin Canadian POCUS Education Conference (SCPEC) is an annual student-led conference focused on advancing POCUS education across Canadian medical schools. Founded in 2021 by medical students at the University of Ottawa, the annual SCPEC conference brings together 50+ medical students, residents, and staff physicians across Canada to collaborate to improve POCUS UGME.

Consensus recommendations from the inaugural 2021 conference have been published, and the 2024 conference findings have been presented at several conferences with the manuscript underway. By fostering national dialogue and collaboration, we aim to enhance POCUS education and help equip all Canadian medical students with essential POCUS skills for clinical care.

Our Team.

Our team consists of medical students, residents, and supervising staff from across Canada, united in our mission to advance and integrate POCUS education within undergraduate curricula at all Canadian medical schools.
